David Malukas
Emerging star David Malukas joins AJ Foyt Racing for his fourth season in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. A graduate of INDY NXT by Firestone, he finished second in 2021 with a series-record 16 podium finishes. Malukas began his racing career in Europe and has competed in USF2000, USF Pro 2000, and Formula Regional Americas Championship, where he finished second with two wins and 15 podiums. He was also a multiple-time karting champion, featured on TruTV’s Kart Life. Off track, Malukas is a first-generation Lithuanian-American, the son of immigrants who moved to Chicago in 1991. His father, Henry, is a racer and owner of the INDY NXT championship-winning HMD Motorsports. David enjoys hi-fidelity music and is “a bit of a gamer.”
